About the Job
Southeast Texas HR is seeking a dependable Kitchen Manager to join our team in the hospital and healthcare industry. As our Kitchen Manager, you will be overseeing the daily operations of the main kitchen in preparing food items for patients, retail, cafeteria and Hospital catered events.
Responsibilities for the Kitchen Manager are:
- Direct daily activities of the main kitchen through scheduling, training, and scheduling of staff.
- Assures all federal, state, and hospital policy and procedures for food handling and sanitation are in place and followed.
- Conducts and keeps record of safety audits for the department equipment.
- Monitors food service throughout the day to ensure the quality of food with minimum waste.
- Ensures catering orders have been prepared correctly and on time.
- Communicates with staff in regard to procedures, training, and performance.
Requirements
To be considered for this position you MUST meet the following:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in kitchen management.
- Food Handlers Certification.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Ability to obtain your immunization records.
