Looking for a candidate who:
- Has great communications skills; enjoys working on a team
- Is familiar with basic kitchen equipment operation and cooking techniques
- Pays close attention to detail
- Can supervise a small team and delegate tasks effectively
- Is able to do repetitive tasks consistently and accurately
- Maintains a clean and orderly workspace
- Understands food safety
- Is comfortable working in a fast paced environment
- Prioritizes hygiene and cleanliness
- Is able to lift 40 lbs. and stand for 6+ hours at a time
SCHEDULE
- Part-time is 2-4 shifts per week (anywhere from 14-28 hours)
- Full-time is 4-5 shifts per week (28-40 hours)
*Typical shifts are either: Open = 8am-3pm or Close = 3pm-10pm
*Must have flexible schedule and some weekend availability
COMPENSATION
- Starting hourly wage plus tips brings wage up to at least $22/hour or more

GENERAL JOB EXPECTATIONS
Under the supervision and with support of the kitchen manager:
1. Responsible for the daily operations of the kitchen, and provides professional leadership and direction to kitchen personnel.
2. Ensures that all recipes, food preparations, and food presentations meet restaurant's specifications and commitment to quality. Ensures that all employees prepare and serve safe, appealing, properly-flavored and portioned food. Verifies that kitchen staff follows all recipes and portion servings.
3. Maintains a safe, orderly and sanitary work environment - including food preparation and clean and organized kitchen and storeroom areas. Demonstrates this by example, using proper food-handling techniques.
5. Enforces safety regulations. Aware of cooks practicing safe food handling.
6. Executes and delegates daily prep list, ensures all stations remained stocked before and during the meal periods.
7. Place daily orders from vendors as requested from kitchen manager.
8. Oversees receiving of product, verifying invoice and freshness of merchandise.
9. Maintains all machines and equipment in good repair.
10. Reports any needed equipment or repairs.
11. Portions food items to control food costs. Controls food waste.
12. Works with management staff to prepare for restaurant events.
13. Assist in interviewing and training new staff.
14. Sets excellent customer service and hospitality standards.
15. Actively participates as a member of the management team.
16. Maintains clear and open lines of communication with all staff
