About the Job
Nesco Data Center and Infrastructure is seeking an Onsite Support Technician (L1) who can support Desktop Hardware onsite at an End-Customer Site in the Greater Uniondale/Mineola area. This is an opportunity to work alongside a Premier IT Integration Company
Scope and Notes:
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Assistance: Offer high-level support for desktops, laptops, and peripherals, troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- System Setup and Maintenance: Install, configure, and manage Windows operating systems and various software applications.
- Network Oversight: Handle network connectivity issues, including TCP/IP, VPN, and wireless networks.
- Help Desk Management: Respond to and resolve help desk tickets quickly and efficiently.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with other IT teams to solve complex technical challenges.
- Documentation: Follow procedures for documenting and tracking support requests in the ticketing system.
- User Communication: Provide clear and effective guidance to end-users.
Qualifications:
- Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of Windows 10 and 11, with some experience in macOS.
- Support Experience: Proven experience in desktop support within a professional setting.
- Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Work Style: Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certifications: Additional certifications like CompTIA A+, Network+, or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are beneficial.
Additional Requirement:
- Transportation: A car and a valid driver's license are required.
This role is ideal for someone with a solid technical background, strong problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to work well both independently and in a team.
Pay: $24/hour
