JOB DESCRIPTION:
AEG and the LA Kings are seeking a part-time Post-Production Assistant. This energetic individual will be ready to work in a fast-paced production environment for LA Kings Production Team. The part-time position would be based out of our offices in El Segundo and from Crypto.com Arena in downtown Los Angeles. This position will be reporting to the Senior Editor and Manager of Production. Candidates should be interested in the creative process specific to film and production, and this position will primarily be focused on editing and post-production.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Assist with all aspects of the post-production process including but not limited to: editing, motion graphics, footage organization, and assistant editing.
- Edit features, cut downs, and trailers designed for social media and web platforms.
- Assist with archiving and logging footage, highlight melts/assistant editing.
- Assist with editing and distribution of day-to-day videos.
- Assist with department clerical/research tasks.
- Contribute with creative new ways to cover the team, as well as execute internal ideas.
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND ABILITY:
The Post-Production Assistant must possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities and be able to explain and demonstrate that he or she can perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodation, using some other combination of skill and abilities:
- Experience using Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and the Adobe Creative Suite is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; ability to learn required business systems
- Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work well as a member of a team and meet specified deadlines.
- Ability to attend games and events as needed throughout the season.
- Ability to work nights and weekends with flexible hours.
QUALIFICATION STANDARDS:
Education:
- College training in Film Production
Experience:
- A minimum of 1-2 years of related experience
Pay Scale: $17.00
