About the Job
Responsibilities:
- Operate blast equipment to clean, deburr, or prepare metal castings for finishing according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
- Monitor and adjust equipment settings to ensure proper blasting techniques are used based on the type and condition of castings.
- Inspect finished workpieces to ensure quality standards are met and make adjustments as necessary.
- Perform routine maintenance on blast equipment to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Handle and store abrasive materials in a safe and organized manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of waste materials.
- Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to achieve production goals and deadlines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience operating blast equipment in an industrial setting, preferably in a foundry or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to read and interpret work instructions, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect workpieces for quality and accuracy.
- Physical stamina and strength to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to equipment operation.
- Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
