Garfield County Hospital is a critical access hospital and swing bed hospital that focuses on caring for generations. Our vision is to set benchmarks in patient care and define the rural healthcare experience. We are looking for a talented individual to join our family as an RN or LPN.
12-hour night shift 3-4 nights per week.
The successful candidate will have graduated from an accredited school of nursing and possess a current license by the Washington State Boards of Nursing as a licensed registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Two years of long-term care facility experience preferred but not required.
An ideal candidate would possess the ability to apply principles of logic or scientific thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions, interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagrammatic for and deal with abstract and concrete variables.
Candidates should also be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally, up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects.
Duties would include, but are not limited to:
- Explaining procedures and treatments to patients
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments
- Prepares equipment and aids physician during treatment and examination of patient
- Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of patients
- Observes patients, records significant conditions and reactions and reports to supervisor or provider of condition
- Takes temperature, pulse, blood pressure and other vital signs to detect deviations from normal and assess condition of patient
- Responds to life saving situations based upon nursing standards, policies and procedures and protocol
The successful candidate would lead 3 to 4 employees in a swing bed facility and would carry out leadership responsibilities in accordance with Garfield County Hospital's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities would include training, assigning and directing work of those employees.

LPN starting range would be $29.00 to $39.90 DOE
RN starting range would be $40.51 to $65.23 DOE
