Job Description:



+ Receive and quarantine all specimen packages.


+ Open and sort specimens.


+ Check specimens for acceptance criteria.


+ Separate and properly code all non-testable specimens.


+ Enter and verify (accession) all specimen information into LIS (Laboratory Information System)


+ Assist in strip manufacturing duties, including cutting and preparing strips for coating.


+ Receive and log in any deliveries of laboratory supplies.


+ Assist in manual entry and verification of laboratory results.


+ All other duties assigned by the Laboratory Manager and/or Laboratory Supervisor.


+ Notify his/her supervisor of any possible deviations from documented procedures.



Qualifications:



+ Must Haves:


+ Lab experience - not required but will be prioritized in consideration/selection


+ Good Attention to detail


+ Comfort level with handling sensitive samples


+ Comfort level with using computers (they use Microsoft products)


+ Ability to read, write, and speak English



Preferred:



+ pipetting experience


+ Dexterity
