Position: Lab Manager – Latex Chemist
Location: Pomona, CA
Salary: $100,000 - $140,000 per year (depending on experience)
Industry: Manufacturing / Chemist / Industrial / Latex Formulation
Employment Term: Fulltime / Permanent
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Develop and optimize latex formulations for mold-making and adhesive applications.
- Supervise and provide direction to lab technicians and quality control personnel, including responsibilities related to hiring, training, performance reviews, and scheduling.
- Collaborate with production staff on pilot batches and resolve production challenges.
- Engage with sales teams to understand current product issues, usage, and requirements for product development.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment.
- Performs all other duties.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in latex chemistry, with a focus on mold-making or adhesive applications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to address production challenges effectively.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal & written.
