Schedule: Monday - Friday 8am to 4:30pm
C oordinates the design, development and implementation of the Point of Care (POC) testing program. R esponsible for ensuring Point of Care testing activities are performed in a standardized, effective manner while maintaining appropriate licensures and conditions as required by CLIA, OSHA, DOH, and the laboratory quality and compliance CAP checklist.
SKILLS and ABILITIES:
- Knowledge of POC operating procedures and protocols.
- Ability to make administrative and procedural decisions and judgments.
- Knowledge of process improvement methodologies and quality control.
- Knowledge of applicable regulations.
- Proficient in method calibration verification and multi-instrument comparison studies.
- Ability to train staff who are not otherwise trained in laboratory technique.
- Skilled at trouble shooting.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree required. Must be in a related field chemical, physical, biological, or medical technology sciences.
- MLS (ASCP) or MT (ASCP) certification or equivalent required.
- Two years of technical experience in non-waived testing in a laboratory setting required.
- Formal experience teaching adult learners preferred.
Pay Range:
$35.81 - $53.71

PTO and Personal Time accruals are pro-rated by FTE/hours worked. Non-benefits eligible employees will accrue Personal Time based on hours worked and State worked.
