Laboratory Tech II (MT/MLT) - Sampson Regional Medical Center

Sampson Regional Medical Center is seeking a Laboratory Tech II to join the Laboratory Department!

Description:

The selected applicants will perform various waived, moderately and highly complex hematologic, chemical, immunohematology, immunologic/serologic, microscopic, and microbiological tests on specimens to obtain data for use in diagnosis or treatment of diseases.

Requirements:

• National certification as an MT/MLS/MLT by an approved agency (ASCP or AMT) required
• Two years Lab Tech I or II experience preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology/Clinical Laboratory Science or an Associate's degree in laboratory science from an accredited institution that includes successful completion of an approved clinical laboratory training program required.
• Knowledge of lab equipment, quality control methods, and report management required

Hours:

May work twelve (12) hour shifts, including rotating weekends and holidays. May work other hours for the effective operation of the department.
