Position Overview: A DAS Installer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Distributed Antenna Systems (DAS) to enhance wireless communication coverage within buildings and other structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation: Set up and install DAS equipment, including antennas, coaxial cables, fiber optics, and other related hardware.
- Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance checks and repairs to ensure optimal system performance.
- Testing and Troubleshooting: Use specialized tools such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and multimeters to test and troubleshoot system issues.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of installations, maintenance activities, and system configurations.
- Compliance: Ensure all installations comply with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to complete projects on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications in telecommunications or related fields are a plus.
- Experience: Previous experience in DAS installation or a related field is preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency with hand tools and testing equipment, strong problem-solving abilities, and good communication skills.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy equipment, work at heights, and perform tasks in various environmental conditions.
Additional Requirements:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Willingness to travel to different job sites as needed.
