GENERAL SUMMARY
Responsible for clinically and clerically supporting the physician and other staff members in the delivery of quality patient care, following established standards and procedures. Provides quality clinical care to our patients in various locations as assigned. Assists practitioner with patient care in an efficient and professional manner.Screens health status of the patient under the direction of the physician. Triages patient phone calls. Documents medical information accurately and appropriately. Understands front office procedures. Ensures regulatory compliance. Maintains clinical equipment and supplies. Maintains professional accountability and responsibility. Provides age appropriate care. Adheres to organizational policy and procedure. Adheres to Patient First philosophy. This role encounters Protected Health Information (PHI) as part of regular responsibilities. Responsible for supporting onboarding of new clerical/clinical caregivers. Trainer on ACMC systems and front desk/clinical workflows. Point person for clerical/clinical staff in collaboration with Practice Managers. Quality readiness rounding to ensure Joint Commission compliant. Complete monthly Joint Commission audits with collaboration with Ambulatory Quality Manager. Attendance of quarterly Joint Commission meetings in collaboration with Ambulatory Quality Manager.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Completion from an accredited School of Practical Nursing.
Required Length and Type of Experience
Minimum of one year experience as a LPN in a primary care office, hospital; or urgent care center preferred.
Basic computer skills.
Excellent customer interaction skills.
Required Licensure or Certification
Current Ohio Nursing License, certified to dispense drugs. Current BLS certification.
Required Physical and Environmental Demands
Sitting, standing, ability to utilize keyboard, lifting, stooping, flexible scheduling and adaptable to changing environment. Sitting, standing, ability to utilize keyboard, lifting, stooping, flexible scheduling and adaptable to changing environment. Requires full range of motion, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires walking and standing for extensive periods of time. Requires hearing and vision corrected to normal range. May require some exposure to communicable diseases and body fluids.
