We are seeking a skilled Lead Inventory Coordinator to manage the efficient flow of materials and equipment within our facility. The ideal candidate will have experience operating heavy machinery, transporting oversized items, and ensuring the safe and organized movement of goods. This role requires strong attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.

Requirements
- Lead by example, managing and motivating warehouse staff to achieve team and individual goals.
- Oversee daily warehouse operations: order picking, packing, shipping, and inventory management.
- Ensure accuracy of shipments, maintain warehouse inventory counts, and handle inbound deliveries.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
- Supervise/monitor incoming/outgoing material inspection and shipments.
- Load and unload oversized items, ensuring proper handling and securing of goods.
- Inspect equipment regularly for safety and maintenance purposes; report any issues promptly.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment.
- Coordinate with team members to prioritize tasks and meet daily operational goals.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the production floor and yard area.
- Implement continuous improvement projects including KanBan pre-kits, package engineering, replenishment system, warehouse design, space optimization and capacity planning.
- Participate in ERP improvements and manage software application implementation projects such as barcode tracking and WMS.
Education and Experience
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Proven experience (minimum 5 years) operating machinery such as forklifts, cranes, or loaders in a yard or logistics environment.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures related to heavy equipment operation.
- Knowledge of shipping and packaging oversized materials is required.
Skills and Abilities
● Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
● Fluent in English and Spanish is preferred.
● Proficient in MS Office and basic computer programs.
● Ability to gather and analyze data and work with mathematical figures.
● Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
● Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
● Ability to work effectively and independently in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
● Ability to follow verbal/written instructions/directions in a professional and courteous manner.
● Organized, proactive/self-starter, creative, detail-oriented, and critical thinking skills required.
Physical Demands
- Regularly required to climb, sit, stand, talk, hear, and walk; use hands and fingers to operate lifts, cranes, and telephones; handle and feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms.
- Required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus are required.
