Position Highlights:

- Hours: Monday-Friday. Day Shift. Rotating Saturdays.

What You Will Do
- Will perform and delegate a variety of tasks to facilitate physician/office visits, including the responsibility and accountability for care provided by the LPN and Patient care technicians as assigned in accordance with nursing standards.
- Supervises work performed by department clinical staff. RN’s, LPN’s, PCT’s. Coaches the team by guiding, directing, motivating, and mediating conflict resolution.
- Utilizes interactive communication with Manager, Physicians and other health care members to provide and implement a comprehensive and integrated plan of care for patients.
- Assists with staff development, new employee orientation, and training. Monitors and insures staff compliance with policies and procedures.
- Insures continuity and appropriateness of nursing care during all office hours on duty and acts as a resource regarding clinical issues of patient care. Supervises the daily staff assignments and re-assigns based on acuity, volume of patients, and staffing needs.
- May provide performance evaluation feedback to Supervisors and Managers on clinical staff.
- Directs patient flow problems as needed. Handles patient complaints during patient visits in the office
- Seeks opportunities to improve or enhance nursing and leadership skills through membership on safety or continuous quality improvement committees, or other special projects within the clinic.
- Resource nurse for dealing with staff and physician issues daily. Liasons between physicians, clinical staff, and patients.
- Insures staff compliance with federally mandated OSHA regulations.
- Performs other projects and duties as related to department objectives.
- Must be able to get along with others, to be a team player, to accept constructive criticism from your supervisor and be able to follow work rules. Ordering of vaccines.
Education
- Must have a minimum of three years professional nursing experience in the clinical setting.
- Valid IL RN License
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and an accredited nurse program certificate.
- Knowledge of nursing skills in accordance with nursing standards in the Nurse Practice Act is required.
- Must have a current Illinois Registered Nurse license, and current CPR certification.
