Lead Retail Sales Associate (Part-Time) - Desert Mountain Club

In this role, you will exceed member expectations through outstanding customer service and merchandising.  Maintain control of inventory levels and work with the Shop Supervisor to ensure product is both seasonably accurate, and specific to the needs of the members who frequent the Boutique. 

The ideal candidate will be professional, outgoing, and friendly with a great attitude and passion for delivering exceptional service. Prior customer service experience, servicing a mid to high-end demographic. Must have prior Retail experience. Basic knowledge of private club/resort recreational industry (fitness, tennis, golf) preferred.

*This is a Part-Time position and includes weekend shifts. 

• Winter shifts vary within the hours of (7:00am-12:00pm and 12:00pm-5:00pm Mon-Sat, Sunday 8:00am-2:00pm). 
• Summer shifts vary within the hours of (8:00am-10:30am and 11:30am-3:00pm Mon-Sat, Sunday 9:00am-2:00pm).

JOB DETAILS

Responsibilities:

• Deliver a memorable experience to each member and guest, making all efforts to anticipate their needs and use their names.
• Provide enthusiastic and friendly customer service, as well as assist members, guests, and fellow teammates with their merchandise needs.
• Maintain appearance of shop floor by creating visually appealing displays, straightening, restocking, and dusting.
• Answer phones and use the computerized point-of-sale system to transact sales.
• Assist with all Racquet Sports functions including scheduling courts and lessons, assisting with events, etc.
• Working in conjunction with the Supervisor to coordinate and manage merchandise flow, markdowns, and promotions.
• Implement suggestive-selling techniques to maximize selling opportunities and to educate customers about the extensive product offering.
• Encourage special orders when desired merchandise is not available.
• Assist in the organization of the Sonoran Shop purchasing and receiving to include retail sales, merchandising and inventory.
• Assist with inventory management and physical inventory counts.
• Help in achieving budgeted financial goals.
• Maintain organized and neat stockrooms.
• Keep supervisor informed of customer requests and product outage situations.
• Assist with special events such as trunk shows and demo days.
• Assist with processing special orders and contacting members for merchandise pickup.
• Assist with tagging and stocking merchandise.
• Assist with finding coverage or covering unstaffed shifts.
• Other tasks and projects as requested by supervisors.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

• Required to stand for long periods of time – Frequently
• Required to push , pull, and/or move up to 35 pounds – Frequently
• Exposed to extreme cold (non-weather) and extreme heat (non-weather) – Occasionally
• Required to work, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
