LII Corporate Safety is seeking a Lead Safety Engineer to join a collaborative team with strong beliefs in:

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Process Improvement: Provide expert leadership in developing, implementing, and monitoring processes and programs that drive year-over-year improvements in safety and ergonomics.
- Education/Training & Best Practices: Involved in the design, development, and delivery of training, policies/programs, best practices, project management, and leadership improvement skills.
- Mentoring site/field EHS and Management Contacts: Mentor EHS team members and field leadership.
- Audits: Conduct process audits and provides health, safety, and ergonomic (HSE) recommendations. Identify process risks using observations, document reviews, and interviews.
- Process/Program Knowledge: Expert knowledge of health, safety, and ergonomic, best practices and risk reduction (LOTO, machine safeguarding, Powered Industrial Trucks, and pedestrian risks).
- Resource/Go-To Contact: Provide direction to HSE professionals and serve as expert resource.
- Training Development & Delivery: Develop and deliver training materials to all levels of the organization to effect change and impart skills.
- Risk Assessment: Use safety and ergonomic risk assessment tools to support sustainable risk reduction.
- Problem Solving: Use Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), 8D, or similar problem-solving tools.
- Policies & Regulations: Assist with developing, distributing, and ensuring compliance with company policies and HSE regulations - keep abreast of any changes to policies and regulations that impact the organization.
- Web Databases: Manage incoming data for accuracy and completeness and conducts deep data analyses. Provide user training and develop/manage training guides and materials.
- Corporate Campus Safety Co-Lead: Co-Manage safety and emergency response program for corporate campus (education, emergency responder recruitment and education, drills, and communications).
Qualifications:
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in HSE, engineering, or equivalent.
- Experience: 8+ years of progressive safety experience in a large manufacturer or industrial business.
- Project Management: Strong project management skills with the ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and manage resources to complete the project on time and within budget.
- Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to produce effective training materials and company communications.
- Presentation: Strong presentation skills and ability to effectively influence the audience. Prior experience and comfort with presenting to management and non-management.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service and helping others achieve business goals.
- Software/Office Tools: High proficiency in Excel (formulas & PivotTables), PowerPoint, and Word.
- Travel: Travel up to 40% at times - some int’l, some short notice. Valid passport and driver’s license.
- Certifications/Skills: Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred or ability to quickly obtain. Lean and Six Sigma preferred.

The compensation range for this position is approximately $100,000 - $131,000 and will be based on the candidate’s qualification, experience, and education
