Role Overview
As a Lead Software Engineer, you will be responsible for driving the development of innovative AI-driven sales solutions. You will take ownership of the technical direction, design, and implementation of the core technology that powers the AI agents, including their flagship agent Kora. You will work closely with customer requirements to deliver end-to-end solutions that solve real-world problems for businesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of AI-driven applications, focusing on building and scaling our flagship AI agent.
- Build robust and scalable applications using Python, ensuring high-quality performance that can handle large volumes of inbound sales data.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand customer requirements, specifications, and translate them into technical solutions that address business needs.
- Engineer machine learning pipelines and contribute to AI/ML components, with a focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP) and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems.
- Develop and improve prompt engineering to ensure clear, concise communication between AI agents and customers.
- Continuously optimize and innovate the AI agent’s performance by adopting new technologies and frameworks such as Langchain, Autogen, and LlamaIndex.
- Drive the technical roadmap, providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers.
- Stay up to date with the latest trends and innovations in AI, machine learning, and inbound sales technology.
Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of experience in software engineering, with a deep expertise in building applications using Python.
- Experience working in early-stage startups (VC-backed, seed or pre-seed) or hyper-growth environments at Series A and above.
- Proven track record of delivering end-to-end solutions based on customer requirements and product specifications.
- Experience with AI agent frameworks (such as Langchain, Autogen, or LlamaIndex) is a bonus, but not required.
- Familiarity with machine learning pipelines, especially those used for NLP and RAG systems, is highly preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and effectively, particularly when crafting prompts and working with prompt engineering techniques.
- Growth mindset: quick to learn, eager to adopt new frameworks, and adaptable to changing technology landscapes.
- Demonstrated excellence in prior roles, whether through founding a company, academic achievements, or competition wins.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field from a top-tier university (Stanford, Ivies, MIT, CMU, etc.) is highly preferred.
