Lead Sterile Processing Technician - Central Services - Lima Memorial Health System

Functioning within the Health System’s mission, vision, values, objectives and policies, and procedures the Lead - Sterile Processing Technician directs, delegates, assigns, and leads the members of Central Sterile Processing staff so that the needs of the surgery areas are met. The Lead Tech is responsible for coordinating surgery needs between the OR and CSP. The Lead Tech is also a technical expert with responsibility for processing instruments and performing all duties in a manner that is cost effective without compromising quality of care.

Education: High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Licensure/Certification: Must have and maintain a current Certified Sterilization/Instrumentation Technician (CRCST) certification. Must obtain within 18 months of hire if not currently certified.

Experience: Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a Sterile Processing Technician. Previous supervisory experience is preferred.

Skills: Must be highly motivated, dependable and willing to work in a fast-paced, stressful environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and professional attitude and demeanor required at all times. Must also demonstrate the ability to coordinate the work of others and lead through example.
