OVERVIEW:
The Lead Systems Administrator will also serve as the Alternate Program Manager when the Program Manager is not available and will manage the responsibility of quality and efficiency for the Department of State Office of Management Information Systems Foreign Service Institute (DOS/OMIS/FSI) contract to include both technical issues and business processes, be responsible for assisting in task assignments, ongoing supervision of technical efforts, and overall performance management of the program. You will also perform the duties of the Lead Systems Administrator.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- When required you will serve as the Alternate Program Manager when the Program Manager is not available.
- Provide expert knowledge of FSI Desktop support services.
- Work with upper-level government and contract staff in a professional manner.
- Generate well written reports with no errors.
- Supervise helpdesk staff, assign work, train new systems administrators, and other tasks associated with leading a government help desk.
EDUCATION AND REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in a program management (PM) or deputy/alternate PM role.
- Minimum 10+ years experience in systems administration.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- PMP certification required.
- Must have DOS FSI experience.
- CompTIA Sec+, CompTIA Network+, and/or CompTIA Server+ preferred.
- Certifications in Cloud technologies a plus.
- Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator or equivalent Microsoft certifications required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. In addition, a satisfactory background screening, negative drug test, positive references and proof of identity and legal authorization to work in the United States and for TTC are required. May require occasional travel.
