The Role:
The Learning and Development Specialist is a dynamic role that partners closely with the Learning and Development Leader in a fast-paced environment. This position is instrumental in designing, implementing, evaluating, and supporting comprehensive training programs aimed at enhancing employee skills, performance, and productivity. The role requires collaboration with various departments to tailor training programs to their specific needs, playing a crucial part in cultivating a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth within the organization.
*Please note this is a hybrid role that will be located in our Boca Raton office three days per week and working remotely two days per week.*
Key Responsibilities:
Program Design and Development Support:
• Support in the design and development of innovative training programs, workshops, and e-learning courses.
• Utilize instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create effective and engaging training materials.
Training Delivery:
• Facilitate training sessions using a variety of instructional techniques, including face-to-face, virtual, and blended learning approaches.
• Adapt training delivery methods to suit diverse learning styles and preferences.
Training Coordination:
• Schedule and coordinate training sessions, workshops, and seminars.
• Manage training calendars and communicate schedules to employees and trainers.
• Handle logistics for training events, including venue booking, equipment setup, and material preparation.
Administrative Support:
• Provide general administrative support to the L&D team, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies.
• Assist with budget tracking and expense reporting for L&D activities.
• Support special projects and initiatives within the L&D department as needed.
Learning Management System (LMS) Administration:
• Manage the company’s LMS, including user accounts, course uploads, and content updates.
• Troubleshoot technical issues related to the LMS and provide user support as needed.
• Monitor and report on LMS usage and effectiveness.
Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records and employee development files.
• Track employee participation in training programs and ensure completion of required courses.
• Generate and distribute reports on training activities and outcomes.
Support for Training Programs:
• Assist in the preparation and distribution of training materials, manuals, and handouts.
• Provide administrative support during training sessions, such as managing attendance and handling inquiries.
• Coordinate feedback collection and evaluation of training sessions.
Communication and Engagement:
• Communicate training opportunities and updates to employees through emails, intranet, and other channels.
• Promote L&D programs and encourage employee participation.
• Assist with the creation of newsletters and other communication materials related to L&D.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education or a related field is preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience in an administrative role, preferably within a learning and development or human resources environment.
• Project Management experience preferred.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), learning management systems (LMS) and e-learning tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
• A proactive and team-oriented mindset.
