KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
As a Learning & Development Specialist - Content Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing engaging and effective learning content for Associates. This position requires a creative and strategic approach to create training materials that align with organizational goals and enhance the skills and knowledge of the workforce.
The preferred candidate comes with a background in music due to the nature of training materials largely encompassing musical instruments. This role will be at the center of creating fun and engaging content that celebrates our people and music as core to culture.
Job Responsibilities:
Business Needs Analysis:
* Conduct thorough needs assessments to identify gaps in employee skills and knowledge and develop content based on defined training needs.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and learning priorities.
Content Design and Development:
* Create comprehensive and targeted learning materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training materials, job aids, and multimedia content.
* Utilize instructional design principles to ensure content is engaging, relevant, and meets the needs of diverse learners.
* Incorporate adult learning theories and interactive elements to enhance the learning experience.
Curriculum Development & Training Delivery:
* Develop and maintain training curricula that align with organizational goals and individual career paths.
* Ensure consistency and coherence across various learning modules and programs.
* Alongside the Training Managers, support the facilitation of training sessions when necessary, demonstrating a deep understanding of the content and its practical application.
* Leverage learning technologies and tools to enhance the delivery of training content.
* Stay updated on the latest trends in e-learning and instructional design technology.
Collaboration & Project Management:
* Work closely with subject matter experts, trainers, and other stakeholders to gather information and insights.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of learning content with organizational objectives.
* Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality learning content.
* Develop and execute project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
Quality Assurance:
* Conduct regular reviews and evaluations of learning content to ensure accuracy, effectiveness, and relevance.
* Gather feedback from learners and stakeholders for continuous improvement.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
* Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, HR, or related field; or four years of related experience.
* Proven experience in instructional design and content development.
* Familiarity with e-learning authoring tools and learning management systems.
* Strong project management skills.
* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
* Knowledge of adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies.
* Continuous learning mindset to stay current with industry trends.
* Preferred Qualifications:
* Master’s degree in Instructional Design or related field.
* Certification in instructional design or related area.
* Experience with gamification and interactive learning strategies.

Pay Rate: $73,600 - $80,000 / annually depending on background and experience.
