Legal Assistant - (13127) - InGenesis

InGenesis is currently seeking a temporary Legal Assistant to work with our client in New York, NY. In this role, you will be working in the New York State Office of the Attorney General.

Job Duties

· Conduct legal research using electronic databases (Westlaw, Lexis), as well as, traditional methods

· Conduct verdict searches; review discovery responses, prepare and assemble document production, including redacting documents, as necessary; draft correspondence

· Draft and assemble briefs and motions, including tables, affidavits, exhibits and other documents

· Assist AAG with trial preparation including digesting deposition transcripts, organizing and uploading trial motions and exhibits

· Maintain and develop spreadsheet to track cases and discovery production

· Prepare and electronically file documents to NYSCEF

· Learn and use intra-office electronic filing system; copy and scan documents as necessary

· Perform other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications

· High school diploma

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are a must

· Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize work, set priorities and independently manage deadlines

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (pdf creation tools, outlook, word, excel, share-point) is a plus

*Pay rate range commensurate on experience.
