About the Job
Our New Hampshire-based law firm client is seeking a highly motivated Legal Assistant/Paralegal with 3+ years of experience to join their team. This general practice role will support 2-3 attorneys and assist across multiple practice areas, including real estate, trust and estate, civil, and criminal law.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage attorney and client calendars, scheduling meetings, discovery deadlines, and court hearings.
- Draft and proofread legal documents such as pleadings, notices, letters, and 91A requests.
- Gather and manage certified records for legal demands.
- Handle E-filing with both state and federal courts.
- Scan and organize documents into the system, ensuring proper storage under the correct attorney.
- Conduct legal research, including land use laws, registry of deeds, and secretary of state records.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a legal assistant or paralegal role, with exposure to litigation.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and document preparation.
- Experience with E-filing systems in state and federal courts.
