Position Overview:
Our client is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant/Paralegal specializing in Business Finance & Tax. This role is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about legal and financial matters and are eager to contribute to a dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive support to attorneys, assisting with legal research, document preparation, and case management related to business finance and tax law. Couple days a week hybrid.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys with the preparation and filing of legal documents related to business finance and tax matters.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategies and business decisions.
- Maintain and organize electronic and paper filing systems for easy retrieval and reference.
- Coordinate with clients and external parties to gather necessary documents and information.
- Assist in the preparation of tax filings and ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
- Draft and proofread correspondence, contracts, and other legal documents.
- Monitor deadlines and manage calendars for attorneys to ensure timely submissions and adherence to schedules.
- Conduct due diligence and assist in the preparation of reports and presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies, Finance, or a related field preferred; Paralegal certification is a plus.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a legal environment with a focus on business and tax law.
- Strong understanding of legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
- Proficiency in legal research databases and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational, multitasking, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
