Legal Secretary

The Office of Attorney General has an opening for a Legal Secretary in the Governmental Affairs Section (Jefferson City). Qualified individuals should have excellent typing, clerical (including filing, copying, and scanning), telephone, people, and organizational skills. The position requires a strong ability to type correspondence, proofread work, schedule depositions, type basic and routine court filings and notices, finalize trial court and appellate briefs, enter information into and monitor attorney calendars, among other duties. Experience using Word, Outlook, and Excel is preferred, as is prior legal experience. Starting salary is $42,117.58.
