Pay Rate: $19.64/hr - $33.62/hr depending on background and experience.
This position is eligible to participate in the Guitar Center Company bonus program based on Company performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Lessons Area Specialist plays in instrumental role in the ongoing growth and success of the Lessons program and continued development of Lesson Leads. The Lessons Area Specialist is a dynamic leader and subject matter expert responsible for the growth and success of the Lessons program within their location yet as a peer group leader, they provide invaluable training and support to new hires and other leads within the district, ensuring excellence in service and program implementation.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Customer and Community Engagement
* Deliver exceptional experiences that make students and parents fans for life. Resolve any concerns with the finesse of a seasoned performer.
* Keep a solid understanding of our instruments and selling techniques to guide customers to the perfect match.
* Build genuine relationships with students, instructors, and in store lessons teams.
* Promote and support local music events and partnerships. Show off our brand’s commitment to the community.
* Live and breathe our brand values, driving loyalty and retention among customers and students.
* Create strong ties within the local music scene to boost brand awareness and presence.
Lessons Revenue Generation
* Increase student enrollment across the district by driving operations and sales.
* Ensure every store in the district has the knowledge, tools, and resources to meet business KPIs.
* Analyze store performance and suggest improvements to keep our Lessons program top-notch.
* Use the Lessons Scheduling tool to find and act on opportunities to boost revenue and student retention.
Communication & Organization
* Articulate and connect with a diverse group of individuals, from internal teams to external stakeholders, with clarity and positivity.
* Seamlessly interact with geographically dispersed team members through various communication channels.
* Juggle competing priorities with precision in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
* Ensure tasks are completed thoroughly and on time, every time.
* Field calls and emails from Lesson Leads, providing timely and effective support.
Coaching and Training
* Train and communicate with Lessons colleagues, ensuring they can pass on their knowledge effectively within their locations.
* Demonstrate the skills and capabilities needed to meet and exceed expectations, inspiring others to do the same.
* Offer regular, constructive feedback to direct reports and team members, helping them grow and improve.
* Assist in interviewing candidates for the lessons program, ensuring we bring in high performing high potential talent.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & REQUIREMENTS:
* Ability to learn and navigate new technology and systems.
* Previous experience in the Guitar Center Lessons program with demonstrated success.
* Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
* Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Willing and able to travel to stores within your region for grand openings and new hire training.
* Flexibility in scheduling, including availability to work nights and weekends as needed by the business.
* Valid state driver’s license and automotive insurance.
* Advanced proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and retail management systems.
