Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - Crisis & Triage Management

Location: Honolulu, HI

Sign-On Bonus: $6,000

Virtus Healthcare Staffing is seeking a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) to join our partner medical center in Honolulu, HI. This role offers a unique opportunity to provide essential mental health services, including crisis intervention and triage management, in a dynamic and supportive environment.

Responsibilities:

• Triage and Assessment:
  • Work as part of the Call Center Advice Line team to provide telephonic triage and assessment for members requesting behavioral health services.
  • Evaluate patients' psychological and mental status, utilizing the DSM-V for diagnosis.
  • Determine the appropriate level of care and refer patients to appropriate services.
• Crisis Intervention:
  • Provide telephonic crisis management for members experiencing mental health emergencies.
  • Assess and intervene in urgent or high-risk clinical situations.
  • Coordinate referrals to psychiatrists or other clinicians as needed.
• Treatment Planning and Coordination:
  • Develop, implement, coordinate, and evaluate clinical treatment programs for patients with acute or chronic mental illness.
  • Provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy, utilizing a wide range of evidence-based interventions.
  • Collaborate with physicians in screening and evaluating patients for psychotropic medications.
  • Perform case management and coordination of social work service plans.
• Documentation and Communication:
  • Prepare intake summaries, treatment plans, and case summaries.
  • Maintain confidential patient records in accordance with state and NCQA regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.

Qualifications:

• Education: Master's degree in social work from an accredited college or university.
• Licensure:
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Hawaii.
• Certifications:
  • National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
• Experience: N/A
• Skills:
  • Knowledge and experience in conducting assessments and diagnostic evaluations using the DSM-V.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of social service agencies, state regulations, and professional board standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a stressful environment with interruptions.
