The LCSW will report to the Medical Director and President of East Tennessee Recovery, PLLC. As a member of a multidisciplinary team of behavioral health providers, the Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) will be responsible for the assessments, diagnoses, and treatments of clients with Substance Use Disorder (SUD), mild-to-moderate mental health disorders, and/or co-occurring disorders (COD), within the scope of their licensure. The LCSW will also provide targeted treatment for patients with anxiety disorders, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, psychoses, SUD, and COD. The incumbent will provide intensive outpatient (IOP) mental health (MH) therapy and crisis intervention, individual patient assessments, treatment plans, and discharge plans for clients in a non-residential setting. He/She will exhibit confidence in providing group, individual, and family psychotherapy to adult patients. Outpatient work focuses on assessment, stabilization, and discharge planning. Duties in the IOP include DSM-5 diagnostic assessment, treatment planning, and group psychotherapy. Individual or family sessions are scheduled, as needed. All other duties as assigned.
LCSW Job Description:
· Work with a fully integrate, multidisciplinary team of behavioral health providers to deliver services to clients with SUD and/or dual diagnoses
· Conduct initial mental health evaluations including criminal, psychological, and substance abuse case history to assess clients’ current needs and make treatment recommendations
· Oversee and sign off on BSW, MSW, Peer Recovery Specialist, and interns' work (counseling, group, case management, assessments, biopsychosocials, and treatment plans) at all current and future locations
· Conduct weekly one-on-one (individual-level) IOP Treatment to clients and patients
· Monitor client’s progress towards individualized treatment plan goals
· Engage other medical providers, case managers, and health educators into client treatment
· Assist clients with the development of individualized treatment and recovery
· Conduct bi-weekly group-level behavioral health treatment support
· Enter and maintain progress notes in electronic medical records (EMR)
· Knowledge and implementation of regulations/compliance under Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services
· Directs training groups and seminars and provide therapeutic leadership in group counseling sessions
· Functions as a liaison with other community-based agencies and law enforcement agencies to ensure continuity of treatment (referrals) and compliance to legal obligations
· Have knowledge of billing requirements and education on proper billing assessments
· Abide by NASW and HIPAA regulations while maintaining strictest patient confidentiality
