About the Job
Planned Parenthood of Orange and San Bernardino Counties has a full-time opportunity for a Licensed Clinical Therapist in Anaheim, CA.
The Licensed Clinical Therapist provides direct assessment, diagnosis formulation, treatment planning, treatment intervention, and psycho-education to the patient, primarily via a telehealth platform. They may also coordinate care with other community services and agencies, and provide behavioral health/crisis intervention support to patients in primary care clinic. The majority of the position will be spent in direct patient care. The Licensed Clinical Therapist will work collaboratively with the Program Director and Patient Services Team to ensure the quality of the behavioral health program.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions: Essential functions encompass the required tasks, duties and responsibilities performed as part of the job and the reason the job exists.
- Provide expert behavioral care for PPOSBC patients, as an appropriately licensed and credentialed provider.
- Conduct initial assessment of patients by eliciting and interpreting the psychological and social meaning of complaints
- Provide timely and appropriate diagnosis, treatment planning, and intervention.
- Effectively communicate information to patient and clinical staff and provide high customer/patient satisfaction.
- Complete appropriate and timely documentation of clinical encounters.
- Render immediate guidance & therapy for patients in crisis.
- Provide referrals as needed for patients with behavioral health needs that fall outside of the scope of care provided at PPOSBC.
- Prepare reports and letters; call, write and visit (with patient permission) social agencies, other health care providers, schools, relatives, and/or friends to obtain pertinent information.
- Provide clinical consultation in an integrated health care environment regarding mental health care, treatment options, sociocultural determinants, and community resources.
- Provide telephone and telehealth assessment, counseling, resource information, and referrals.
- Collaborate with the referring/rendering health care provider on the development of a comprehensive treatment and follow up plan.
- Provide ongoing care and follow up as appropriate with patients to ensure ongoing wellbeing.
- Provide assessment of the quality and functioning of the online behavioral health program.
- Comply with organizational, departmental, state/federal guidelines & all regulatory agency policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all mandated guidelines for clinical care.

Qualifications

Licensure and/or Certification Requirements:
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), in good standing, in the State of California.
- Certification in Case Management (CCM, ACM) preferred.
- Must be currently enrolled as a Medi-Cal provider.
Minimum Education:
- Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or Master’s in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited school.
Minimum Work Experience:
- Minimum three (3) years of clinical experience in a medical group, affiliated model, hospital or medical office/clinic setting required.
- Experience working in a telehealth and/or primary care environment strongly preferred.
- Three (3) years' experience in case management highly desirable.
Other Requirements:

- Ability to efficiently manage a full caseload of patients
- Applicants already credentialed with Cal Optima or IEHP Health Plans strongly preferred.
- Experience working with the LGBTQ community, survivors of trauma/sexual assault, and people with substance use disorders strongly preferred.
Language Requirements/Preference:
- Bilingual (reading, writing, speaking) English/Spanish or English/Vietnamese preferred.

- This position may require travel to different locations; if using a personal vehicle to meet this requirement, a valid CA driver’s license and current auto insurance in compliance with the minimum requirements of CA vehicle code are required.
