POSITION SUMMARY:
The Licensed Clinician (Children’s Services) works within a multi-disciplinary team to provide an array of direct (face-to-face) and indirect clinical services to children/adolescents as well as caregivers in a child-centered, family focused approach utilizing evidenced based practices delivered to fidelity. These services are primarily delivered in a clinic based setting from multiple CBH clinic locations in San Antonio. The Licensed Clinician (Children’s Services) serves as the Lead Non-Medical Provider on the multi-disciplinary team and is the primary person responsible for on-going assessment and recovery planning.
PROGRAM DESCRIPTIONS:
Children’s Services – Outpatient – This position works in the CBH Outpatient programs and among the various CBH facility locations. Services in this program include individual and group outpatient services for children and adolescents which includes Crisis Services, Medication Management, Targeted Services, Complex Services, Intensive Family Services, as well as Young Child Services, and Transition-Age Youth Services (TAY).
Children’s Crisis Services – This position works in the Child and Adolescent Crisis Unit and/or the field via Children’s Mobile Outreach Team (CMOT). Services in the unit include emergency and planned crisis care for children and adolescents ages 3 to 17 who have a behavioral health diagnosis or need. Stabilization and hospital coordination are essential functions.
Children’s Crisis Respite – This position works in the CBH Crisis-Respite Residential Center. Services in the unit include emergency and planned respite care for children and adolescents ages 5-17 years of age who have a behavioral health diagnosis or need. The program provides daily care for individuals including transportation to and from school, activities or employment. Other services provided include meals; medication monitoring; supervised recreation; skills training; community referrals; and 24-hour supervision in a semi-secured environment.
Cross-training: CRRC staff will be cross-trained to provide services to the Crisis Unit performing many of the duties in Outpatient Services including Crisis Assessments and Hospital Coordination.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
1. Complete and maintain required training, credentialing, licenses, and background checks
2. Regularly report to work on days and times of approved schedule that includes some early morning, early evening, and weekends to accommodate client and business needs
3. Participate in centralized scheduling process
4. Provide direct individualized clinical services 60% of hours worked that may include:
a. Assessment
b. Recovery Planning
c. Counseling and Therapy
d. Non-Medical Evaluation and Management assessment
e. Psychosocial Rehab Services (Individual and/or Group)
f. Skills Training and Development (Individual and/or Group)
g. Medication Training and Support (Individual and/or Group)
h. Routine Case Management
i. Psychoeducation
j. Case Coordination
k. Community referrals
l. Family Training (Individual and/or Group)
m. Parent Support Group
n. Family Case Management
o. Crisis Services
p. Transition Age Youth Services
q. Other clinical interventions as assigned
r. Case Transfers
s. Discharge Planning
5. Complete all CHCS and contract specific required documents in timely manner and to standard
6. Participate in supervision and development opportunities including individual supervision, group supervision, and meetings/trainings as assigned
7. Comply with and participate in Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement processes
8. Coordinate coverage for planned absences in advance with supervisor
9. Adhere to established CHCS Employee Handbook and policies and procedures
10 Other job duties as assigned
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
1. Master’s degree in behavioral health field AND must have and maintain current license in good standing in the State of Texas as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT,) and/or a Licensed Psychologist (LPHD)
2. Must be able to be credentialed with all Center payors
3. Must be able to successfully complete the Qualified Mental Health Professional Community Services (QMHP-CS) within six (6) weeks of hire or transfer
4. Must maintain required credentials and mandatory training requirements to ensure compliance with all State regulations and CHCS policies
5. Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications and system databases
6. Must maintain a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance coverage, be able to travel as needed, and be able to meet on a consistent basis the driving record requirements of the Company’s auto insurance carrier if you drive your vehicle during company business
7. Must be able to pass required background check(s).
8. Must pass random drug screening(s).
9. Must be able to meet the physical requirements to complete SAMA and CPR training including lifting up to 12 lbs. and supporting up to 55 lbs.; bending, stooping and getting on and off the floor without assistance.
10. Must have adequate mobility that requires frequent walking, standing, bending, stooping, kneeling, reaching (vertical and horizontal), using fingers, hands, feet, legs and torso in various care.
11. Must be able to occasionally transport a consumer.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
1.Two (2) years’ experience providing similar services
2.Prior working experience with or knowledge of trauma-informed care
3.Bilingual (English/Spanish)

Compensation Package
Salary Range $52,394.00 $78,591.00 Per Year
