About the Job
The Medical Social Worker provides Medical social service, acts under the direction for a physician and reports to the Patient Care Manger and/or Executive Director. This position requires advance education in Social Work. The Medical Social Worker provides a wide range of services for the terminally-ill patients and families while consistently exexising judgement and discretion to determine the family unique Spiritual/Cultural beliefs, strengths, Coping skills, and pre-bereavement and anticipatory grief needs.
Assessment is ongoing and the Plan of Care Reflects the MSW analysis of and conclusions regarding unique bio-psychological needs of the patient/family. Interventions include but are not limited too Education, support individual family counseling, linkage to community resources/services and ongoing collaboration with IDG and community health providers.
Job Types: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $68.00 per hour
