Key responsibilities
Administer medications as prescribed by the physician and monitor patients' responses
Assist registered nurses and physicians in performing medical treatments and procedures
Provide direct patient care, including monitoring vital signs and assessing patients' conditions
Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement care plans for patients
Document patients' medical histories, symptoms, and treatment outcomes accurately
Ensure compliance with nursing standards and regulations while delivering care
Educate patients and their families about health maintenance and disease prevention
Maintain a clean and safe environment for patients by adhering to infection control protocols
Respond promptly to patients' needs and emergencies with empathy and professionalism
Contribute to the interdisciplinary team meetings and provide valuable input on patient care
Participate in training and orientation of new nursing staff and students
Assist in the evaluation of patient care and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
Coordinate with other healthcare providers to ensure holistic and comprehensive care for patients
Adhere to ethical and legal nursing standards while upholding patient confidentiality
Engage in continuous learning and professional development to enhance nursing practice
Required qualifications
Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse program
Current LPN license in the state of practice
CPR certification and basic life support training
Proven experience in a clinical or acute care setting
Proficiency in conducting physical assessments and performing nursing skills
Understanding of medical terminology and pharmacology
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient care responsibilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in clinical documentation
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment
Capability to remain calm and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations
Knowledge of infection control practices and safety protocols
