Clinical Skills:
Proper use of all applicable medical equipment.
Ensures proper documentation is completed in the patient’s medical record, logs, etc.
Completes chart audits in a timely manner consistent with the policies.
Starts peripheral IV’s for patients based on physician orders.
Inserts and removes Foley Catheters based on physician orders.
Utilizes sterile technique where applicable.
Administers all PO, IM, and SQ medications per physician orders.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program with current state LPN or LVN licensure.
Must have current American Heart Association Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification (ACLS).
Surgery center experience and IV certification preferred.
Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices and procedures.
Ability to effectively communicate with all members of staff, both verbal and written.
Attention to detail, organized, reliable and confident in the OR.
Ability to promote good public relations with patients, family members and caregivers.
Familiar with Athenix products and services, and able to accurately refer patients to the appropriate consultant or staff member.
