Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational NurseCompensation
- The pay for this position is $33.79 per hour
- Benefits are available to full-time employees after 90 days of employment
- A 401(k) with a company match is available for full-time employees with 1 year of service on our eligibility dates
Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse Highlights
- This position is a contract assignment with potential to hire on permanently based upon attendance, performance, and business needs
- The required availability for this position is 30-40 hours per week with rotating weekends
Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse Responsibilities
- Provide holistic, evidenced-based care inclusive of accurate assessment, diagnosis, treatment, management of health problems, health counseling, and disposition planning for our patients. This includes education and treatment for pregnancy prevention, sexually transmitted infection (STI) Prevention and safer sex practices
- Perform phlebotomy and specimen collection services
- Administer immunizations and injections (to include but not limited to COVID19, influenza, TB) and provides evidence-based patient/parent vaccine counseling and education
- Assess patients during intake
- Take vital signs
- Perform diagnostic tests such as EKG, Retinopathy screening
- Perform Point of care testing (including COVID testing)
- Perform patient registration and intake, assist with wait room management and other responsibilities to enhance the patient experience
- Order equipment and prepare the clinic for the best patient experience

Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a full, active and unrestricted license as a Licensed Practical or Vocational Nurse in a State, Territory or Commonwealth of the United States or District of Columbia
- Minimum of one-year related work experience in a healthcare setting
- Experience documenting within an Electronic Medical Record
- Ability to take vital signs, perform phlebotomy blood draws and perform Point of Care Testing
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, including but not limited to performing CPR and operating an Automated External Defibrillator (AED)
- Pass a FIT test and wear the provided respirator mask when protocol is required
- Attendance is mandatory for the first 90 days
Licensed Practical Nurse/Licensed Vocational Nurse Preferred Qualifications
- Phlebotomy Certificate or phlebotomy experience preferred. If not experienced, must successfully complete internal phlebotomy training
- Previous experience in Primary Care, Urgent Care or Emergency Room
