Job Summary:
As a Life and Annuities Sales Agent, you will be responsible for selling life insurance policies and annuities to individuals seeking financial security for themselves and their families. You will work closely with clients to understand their financial goals, assess their needs, and recommend suitable life insurance and annuity products. This role requires a strong understanding of financial planning, excellent sales skills, and a commitment to delivering outstanding client service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Consultation: Meet with clients to assess their life insurance and annuity needs, providing expert guidance on the best products to achieve their financial goals.
- Sales and Policy Enrollment: Present and sell life insurance and annuity products, assisting clients through the application and underwriting processes.
- Client Education: Explain the different types of life insurance policies (term, whole, universal) and annuities (fixed, variable, indexed) in simple, easy-to-understand terms.
- Build Relationships: Develop long-term relationships with clients by providing ongoing support and addressing any questions or changes to their policies.
- Lead Generation: Proactively generate new business through referrals, networking, and other sales strategies.
- Market Research: Stay informed about new products, industry trends, and regulatory changes to offer the best possible advice to clients.
- Compliance: Ensure all sales activities and documentation comply with state and federal regulations, maintaining ethical practices and accurate records.
- Goal Achievement: Meet and exceed sales targets and business objectives set by the company.
Qualifications:
- Licensing: Valid Life Insurance license; an additional Annuities license is preferred (or willingness to obtain).
- Experience: Prior experience in life insurance and annuities sales preferred; new agents with a strong sales background are welcome to apply.
- Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of life insurance and annuity products, as well as financial planning principles.
- Sales Skills: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Client-Centered Approach: Ability to build trust and develop lasting relationships with clients by understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
- Tech Savvy: Proficiency with CRM systems, online application systems, and basic office software (e.g., Microsoft Office).
- Self-Motivated: Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
