About the Job
Allegria Village, a senior-living community in Dearborn, is currently hiring for a Life Enrichment (Activities) Director in our Independent Living Community.
Overview:
The Director of Life Enrichment for Independent Living will supervise a team of
Independent Living (IL) Life Enrichment Associates by providing direction and guidance through systematic structures and procedures.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Overseeing daily business operations of the Independent Living program
2. Ensure the residents of facility receive excellent service and customer service
3. Ensure programming meets and exceeds the expectations of our residents.
4. Developing and implementing growth strategies.
5. Hire and train Life Enrichment staff.
6. Oversee the disciplinary action
7. Creating and managing budgets.
8. Evaluating performance and productivity.
9. Analyzing accounting and financial data.
10. Researching and identifying growth opportunities.
11. Generating reports and giving presentations
12. Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
• 2-3 years’ experience as Independent Living Activities Director or equivalent
• Sensitivity and understanding regarding the needs of the residents
• Ability to work and exercise sound judgement under pressure
• Ability to verbally communicate clearly and effectively present information and respond to questions from residents, managers, customers, and the general public.
• Must be able to represent the department and community in a positive manner.
Education/Certification
• Bachelor’s degree in related field
