The purpose of this job is to perform the duties of Line Cook in accordance with company for satisfactory performance.
Job Description: Essential Duties and responsibilities are as follows (other duties may be assigned):
1. Expedites all menu items accurately.
2. Standardizes recipes.
3. Sets up and breakdowns the cooking line.
4. Assists in storing all deliveries – daily requisitions.
5. Cooks on the line, adhering to ticket times of 8 minutes or less.
6. Assists in any area needed when time allows.
7. Informs the Executive Chef immediately of safety issues – equipment failure.
8. Informs the Executive Chef immediately of food quality issues – food spoilage.
9. Maintains sanitation – proper handling.
10. Exhibits a ‘can do’ attitude and total cooperation.
11. Performs any reasonable request of management.

Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Experienced in basic line cooking – making soups, stocks, and sauces. Must have excellent organizational skills.Experienced and organized in line set up. Able to assist in menu planning. Communicates effectively with all other staff. Open to learning new methods of cooking.
Experience: At least 3 years line cook experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
Language Skills: Must be able to communicate clearly with guests, customers, supervisor and fellow employees

Must be able to push/pull/lift 50lbs. Job requires standing for long periods of time. Requires the ability to reach, grab, feel.
Hours: Due to the seasonal nature of the hospitality industry, and the fact that the hotel provides guest services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, any employee may be required to work rotating shifts, night shifts, and/or overtime. Also, depending on the season, hours may be reduced at any time.

Employees who violate hotel rules and regulations will be subject to Corrective Counseling, up to and including termination of employment.
