Position Overview:
We’re seeking highly driven, dynamic, motivated Line Technician to join our team in Elkhart, IN.
In this role, you will set up, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain machinery on the production floor and manufacturing areas. You will partner with production to configure lines to run products as specified.
Candidate should have demonstrated working knowledge of medium to high-speed production equipment, ideally in the filling or process of liquids or semi-viscous fluids or other related production operations.
Role and Responsibilities:
· Repairs and Set ups
· Must keep abreast of new and changing technologies in the equipment and maintenance fields that relate to cosmetics and personal care products.
· Other duties as assigned
· High School Diploma required. Technical school or higher education preferred.
· 2+ years of related experience in the maintenance or equipment repair sector.
· Demonstrated working knowledge of medium to high-speed production equipment, ideally in the filling or process of liquids or semi-viscous fluids.
· Working knowledge of preventive maintenance processes and approaches to maintain equipment in a run-ready state, with minimal to no breakdowns during normal production.
· Solid understanding of technical aspects of electrical systems, computer control machine operations, and ability to troubleshoot electromechanical systems using instruments and computer troubleshooting devices/programs.
· Good documentation and communication skills; able to work in a team-based environment with daily collaboration with operations and quality functions.
· Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively with minimal supervision
· Knowledge of industrial mechanics, including motors, gears, belts, bearings, and couplings
· Understanding of pneumatic, and hydraulic cylinders, valves, and solenoids
· Knowledge of basic welding, and fabrication
· Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals
· Ability to speak, read, understand and maintain records as required in English.
· Ability to perform tasks under varying conditions (i.e cold or hot, humid conditions, noise)
· Graduates of industrial, and/or electrical technology programs preferred
· Experience with filling systems and Motor Controls preferred
· Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
