Linux Systems Administrator IV - 1748 - KeyLogic Systems

Overview

KeyLogic is seeking an experienced Senior System Administrator, the position is supporting a major DOE National Laboratory.  The mission of the enterprise operations services is to provide enterprise IT solutions in Enterprise configuration management, enterprise collaborations services, enterprise management services, data architecture and enterprise cloud services.

Candidate must reside in the Albuquerque area as work will be performed on site.

Responsibilities:

• Deploy and maintain production Linux operating systems in accordance with established IT policies and guidelines for items such as security, networks and filesystems.
• Coordinate and perform installations and upgrades to layered software packages.
• Continually monitor and tune multiple systems to achieve optimum performance levels.
• Work with on-premises Container and Virtualization solutions
• Work with Enterprise IT Configuration Management automation tools/approaches

Qualifications:

• BS/BA in CS or IT related field and four (4) years of IT experience.
• In lieu of degree, an additional six (6) years of relevant experience, totaling ten (10) years' experience is applicable.
• U.S. Citizenship is required per contract.
• Experience in Unix/Linux Server system administration
• Experience in Linux Web Cluster administration
• Experience in Apache, Ngnix, haproxy
• Experience in Ansible for automation of provisioning and configuration of Linux services

Desired:

• DOE Q clearance (not required to start)
• Knowledge of Containerization technologies
• Working knowledge of authentication methodologies such as Kerberos, PAM, LDAP
• Working knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, SS, DNS, FTP, SSH, and other common Internet protocols
• Familiarity or experience with virtualized systems (such as KVM, ESX) and containers
• Knowledge of CLI, scripting (Bash, Python), and searching/parsing log files
• Experience with solving practical problems and system analysis of IT infrastructures.
• Experience in effectively prioritizing and executing tasks in a constantly changing environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative and interdisciplinary team environment.
