GRSD, LLP has an immediate full-time position for a Litigation Legal Assistant on-site; 5 days per week in our Iselin, NJ office. This role supports several litigation team members. The ideal candidate will be self-directed and detail-oriented with the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. We require candidates to have at least 5 years of experience in a law firm or legal environment and should demonstrate knowledge in the following practice areas: Litigation, Employment Law, Commercial Real Estate, Corporate and General Business Law. Candidates with insufficient experience in the aforementioned practice groups will not be considered.

Summary of Essential Duties and Responsibilities: You will be expected to perform a variety of legal administrative duties, including answering phones, extensive use of Outlook (scheduling meetings, responding to e-mails, etc.) (heavy administrative responsibilities), and document generation/management through FileSite, e-filing documents, time entries, file maintenance, and drafting correspondence and documents for assigned members of the practice group. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

Transcribe, format, enter, edit, retrieve, copy, and transfer data to create information.
Examine and verify letters, reports, and legal documents.
Create letters, motions, briefs, tables of contents, table of authorities, and other legal documents.
Assist with trail preparation.
Maintain the attorney calendar(s) by planning and scheduling conferences, teleconferences, depositions, and travel.
Enters daily time sheets of attorney's activities by client/matter
Interface with clients (e.g., confirm meetings and seek relevant papers).
Record and monitor court appearance dates, pleadings, and filing requirements; track evidence collecting and deadlines.
E-file
The ability to keep all information confidential, to maintain professionalism under stress, and to stay organized and assist attorneys in becoming and staying organized.
Be willing to help other attorneys and legal secretaries.
Perform other related duties as assigned by responsible attorneys and administration personnel.

Qualifications:

Minimum of five (5) years' experience with civil litigation
Experience e-filing in both NJ and Federal courts
Working knowledge of iManage or similar document management application, preferred but not required
Experience using SurePoint or similar billing software
Strong knowledge of Word and Outlook; ability to quickly learn other applications
Experience with Best Authority software for creating TOA
Highly resourceful and reliable.
Experience working independently, within cross-functional teams, in a collaborative environment; Comfortable working in a fast-paced, frequently changing environment.

Education: High School (or equivalent) required.
