We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Personal Injury Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will assist attorneys in all stages of personal injury cases, from initial client intake to trial preparation. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a passion for advocating on behalf of clients who have suffered injuries due to negligence.

Job Details
Responsibilities:
Case Management: Manage a caseload of personal injury files, including drafting correspondence, organizing case files, and maintaining case calendars.
Client Communication: Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, providing updates on case progress, answering inquiries, and ensuring excellent client service.
Legal Research: Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law to support case strategies and arguments.
Document Preparation: Draft pleadings, motions, discovery requests, and other legal documents under attorney supervision.
Discovery Process: Assist in the discovery process by gathering and organizing medical records, police reports, witness statements, and other evidence.
Trial Preparation: Prepare trial binders, exhibits, and witness lists. Coordinate with expert witnesses and assist attorneys during trial proceedings.
Settlement Negotiations: Assist in negotiating settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel, under attorney guidance.
Billing and Timekeeping: Track billable hours and expenses accurately, ensuring compliance with firm policies and client billing guidelines.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and/or paralegal certificate from an accredited program.
Prior experience working as a paralegal in personal injury law is strongly preferred.
Proficiency in legal research tools, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis, and case management software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of state and federal court rules and procedures.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all aspects of work.
