We are in search of a dynamic and detail-oriented Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will be highly skilled in class action defense or product liability litigation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be a part of a fast-paced, challenging, and rewarding legal environment, where you will play a pivotal role in supporting our attorneys with complex litigation matters. The candidate will be expected to manage multiple tasks and deadlines, maintain a high level of professionalism, and have a strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct extensive legal research to support litigation proceedings, draft legal documents, and prepare reports to assist attorneys in determining the direction of cases.
2. Assist in the preparation of hearing and trial by organizing evidence, coordinating witnesses, and managing documents.
3. Actively participate in class action defense, aiding in the development of strategies, conducting interviews, and managing related documentation.
4. Handle aspects of product liability cases, including gathering and analyzing product information, coordinating expert witnesses, and assisting in the drafting of legal arguments.
5. Have knowledge of e-discovery procedures
6. Conduct cite-checking to ensure the accuracy of legal briefs and other documents.
7. Maintain an organized and up-to-date case management system, ensuring all case materials are accurately logged and easily accessible.
8. Maintain billable hour requirement of 1550
Qualifications:
1. A minimum of 3+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal
2. Proficiency in legal research, hearing and trial preparation, class action defense or product liability litigation
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts.
4. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
5. Proven ability to work both independently and as part of a team, with a strong emphasis on accuracy and attention to detail.
6. Strong familiarity with Relativity or similar program
7. Paralegal certification from an ABA-approved institution.
