About the Job
Our San Francisco office has an opportunity for an experienced Paralegal to join their expanding practice to help support senior level paralegals and attorneys. The Firm’s paralegals research law, investigate facts, and prepare documents to assist attorneys. Under general supervision, researches and analyzes law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes to prepare legal documents, such as briefs, pleadings, appeals for review, approval, and use by attorney.
Qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records will be considered for the position in accordance with the Fair Chance Ordinance.
Essential Functions:- Researches law, investigates facts, and prepares documents to assist attorneys with matters.
- Summarizes legal documents.
- Organizes and indexes case files.
- Determines and calendars deadlines.
- Performs wide variety of legal research and data compilation.
- Files pleadings with court clerk.
- Prepares reports, correspondence, declarations and complaints.
- Drafts a variety of legal documents.
- Prepares affidavits or documents and maintains document file.
- Prepares for mediations and trials.
- Assists Attorneys at trial.
- Assists Attorney in preparation for depositions.
- Communicates with witnesses and experts.
- Scheduling.
- Enters billing and expense data into Firm system in a timely manner.
- 6+ years of experience as a paralegal, preferably for a large employment litigation practice.
- Paralegal certification / degree from accredited college or university is preferred.
- Must be proficient in all Microsoft applications, including but not limited to Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Lexis-Nexis and WestLaw, Document Management System, expense and billing systems.

In accordance with California’s amended labor code as stated in Senate Bill 1162, the expected salary range for this California position is between $57,300 and $120,400. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This position qualifies for the benefits below.
