Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in the preparation and filing of pleadings, motions, and briefs.
- Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper and electronic filing systems.
- Conduct extensive legal research and factual investigation.
- Coordinate and manage discovery, including collection, review, and production of documents.
- Prepare for and assist with trials, depositions, and hearings, including preparing exhibits, witness files, and trial binders.
- Facilitate the meeting of attorney's deadlines by keeping organized schedules and providing timely reminders.
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and other relevant parties.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Qualifications:
- Civil litigation support experience.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and software, such as Westlaw or LexisNexis.
- Strong knowledge of the rules of civil procedure, court rules, and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Experience in electronic document management and e-filing systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest degree of integrity and confidentiality.
