Base pay rate starts at $30.00 per hour
Bonus $8,000
Shift: Full-time Day Shift
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to retail stores and construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service. This is a hands-on delivery driving position and will be local during the week.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections thoroughly
- Maintain cleanliness and integrity of vehicle and equipment
- Immediately report any necessary repairs and/or maintenance needed
- Actively ensure compliance with DOT guidelines
- Load and unload truck using a Manitou or Moffett
- Verify entire content loads prior to leaving manufacturing facility or job site
- Follow all safety procedures for transporting goods
- Occasional Weekend work
- Other duties as assigned
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
- 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
- 1 year of flatbed experience
- Clean driving record
- Willing to strap flatbed loads
- Operate trailer mounted forklift
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basis above shoulder height and below the waist.
- Multi-drop delivery experience a plus
- Ability to work independently or with a team
- Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
- Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
