Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Location: Belmont, MAJob Type: Full-TimePosition Overview:The Belmont Public Schools is seeking an experienced and dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide therapy services to students. The SLP will assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students across various grade levels. The role involves working closely with teachers, administrators, and families to help students reach their full communication potential in both academic and social settings.Key Responsibilities:Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication disorders in students.Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that address the specific needs of each student.Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student communication goals and integrate strategies into classroom learning.Monitor and document student progress and adjust therapy plans as needed.Participate in IEP meetings to share student progress and provide recommendations for further support.Provide consultation and training to teachers and parents on strategies for improving students' speech and language skills.Stay updated with best practices, research, and developments in the field of speech-language pathology.Qualifications:Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Valid Massachusetts licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.Previous experience working with school-aged children is preferred.Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment.I’d be so happy to hop on the line with you and discuss your career goals.
