Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Location: Hattiesburg, MSEmployment Type: Full-Time/Part-TimeJob Description:I am seeking a highly qualified and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders. The SLP will work closely with teachers, parents, and administrators to assess and treat students, helping them reach their full academic and social potential through improved communication skills.Key Responsibilities:Assess and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students across all grade levels.Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) based on students’ specific needs.Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in individual and group settings, addressing articulation, fluency, voice, receptive and expressive language, and social communication.Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to integrate speech-language goals into classroom activities and the general education curriculum.Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary to ensure continued improvement.Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations for accommodations and strategies to support student success.Provide training and consultation to staff and parents on strategies for improving communication development in both school and home environments.Stay current with best practices and developments in the field of speech-language pathology.Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).Qualifications:Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Valid Mississippi SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).Experience working with children in a school setting, preferred.Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Commitment to improving students' academic and communication outcomes.Benefits:Competitive salary based on qualifications and experience.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.A supportive and resourceful work environment with access to modern therapy tools and resources.I can’t wait to speak with you about our mission of making a difference in the lives of students in Hattiesburg.
