Job Title: School Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)Location: Smyrna, DEEmployment Type: Full-Time/Part-TimeJob Description:We are seeking a qualified and passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide assessment and therapeutic services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders. The SLP will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure that students receive the necessary support to succeed academically and socially. The ideal candidate will be committed to making a positive impact on students' communication development.Key Responsibilities:Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 plans based on students' needs.Provide direct speech-language therapy to students in individual and group settings, targeting areas such as articulation, language, fluency, voice, and social communication.Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and administrators to integrate communication goals into classroom instruction.Monitor student progress, collect data, and adjust therapy interventions to ensure progress toward IEP goals.Participate in IEP meetings, providing recommendations for classroom accommodations and modifications.Provide training and support to staff and parents on strategies to improve students’ communication in and out of the classroom.Keep up with current best practices, research, and tools in the field of speech-language pathology.Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).Qualifications:Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.Valid Delaware SLP license and Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).Experience working with children in a school setting, preferred.Strong assessment, therapeutic, and collaborative skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.Dedication to supporting students' academic and social success through speech-language interventions.Benefits:Competitive salary based on experience and qualifications.Comprehensive health, dental, and vision insurance.Collaborative work environment with access to modern therapy tools and resources.I’d be so happy to hop on the line with you and discuss your career goals.
