Job Details
Responsibilities:
- Preoperative evaluation of patients to determine the appropriate type of anesthesia to be used, considering factors such as patient's physical condition, medical history, and the type and extent of surgical procedure to be performed.
- Administration of General, Regional, and Local Anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical or other medical procedures.
- Monitoring vital signs and adjusting anesthesia levels during procedures to ensure patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborating with surgical teams and other medical professionals to optimize patient care.
- Advising patients on post-surgery care and pain management.
- Conducting follow-up visits to monitor recovery and address any complications or concerns.
- Keeping up-to-date with latest practices, tools, and technology in anesthesia care.
- Adhering to all medical and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
Qualifications:
- Medical Degree from an accredited institution.
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Anesthesiology.
- Valid state license to practice medicine.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in Anesthesiology.
- Proficiency in General Anesthesia, Regional Anesthesia, and Local Anesthesia.
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex medical information to patients and their families.
- Strong commitment to patient care and safety.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and on-call shifts.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
- Must maintain current CPR certification and ACLS certification.
