Role Summary:
Our client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Neonatal Nurse Practitioner (NNP) to join their dynamic medical team. The successful candidate will provide critical care to newborns, covering both the NICU and newborn nursery. You will play an integral role in attending deliveries, managing NICU admissions, and responding to OB requests. This position offers a unique opportunity to work with a highly skilled clinical leadership team and make a significant impact on neonatal care.
With 1,600 annual births, a 16-bed NICU, and a 20-bed well-baby nursery, you will care for newborns in a Level III NICU environment. Average daily census includes 11.2 patients in NICU and 9 in well-baby care. Your expertise will help provide critical support during 12- and 24-hour shifts, caring for 8-10 patients per shift. Required Qualifications:
Must be Board Certified or Board Eligible (BC/BE)
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications
Experience in NICU care with the ability to handle neonatal admissions and attend deliveries
Ability to work 12-hour or 24-hour shifts, including weekends
Availability to work at least 5-7 shifts per month
Desired Qualifications:
Proficiency in EMR systems, especially EPIC and PremiEHR
Experience in a Level III NICU setting
Strong clinical judgment and communication skills
Ability to handle a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
